How are Tall Tales Collectible Figurines created?
The popular Tall Tales Productions high-end figurines are all designed by Caroline McFarlane-Watts and are sold worldwide. You can find them in stores and order them online.

But how are they made? Let's take a trip behind the scenes.

1 First stop - design
Based on the IP Good Witches Bad Witches™, Caroline McFarlane-Watts designs each character. First an idea, then a sketch, then a hand-sculpted three-dimensional character. After that it can be realized as a collectible figurine and mass produced.

2 Production phase
Domestic production takes place in Los Angeles, California. An expert mold maker creates the mold from Caroline's original sculpts and then pours many resin duplicates from that mold. Figurines are cast in pressure chambers to ensure there's no bubbles to ruin the final result.
Overseas production takes place in Guangdong China on a larger scale. These factory workers are seen here pouring polystone resin into special molds to create the character figurine of Hortense Pompeux.

3 Paint work
Tall Tales figurines are hand-painted by artists with exacting attention to detail. The rare 'Artist Proof' figurines are actually painted by Caroline McFarlane-Watts herself.

With overseas production, Tall Tales figurines are hand-painted by artists with the same attention to detail and quality control. Tall Tales works with the factory employed by Disney and Warner Bros for their collectible figurine lines.
